Another fruitful “LS4FUTURE Gathering & Network Research Management event” with our Science Communication team members.
Last September 14th, the LS4FUTURE Coordination Office, in collaboration with the ITQB NOVA Science Communication Office, organised a workshop dedicated to the presentation of an international project and its training actions. The mentors were two members of the University of Kassel (Germany), Tanja Desch, ProLOEWE’s General Director, and Vanessa Laspe, Coordinator of the Science Communication Training Project “Science Meets Media” in Hesse participating in a job shadowing action at ITQB NOVA.
We had the great pleasure of welcoming 13 colleagues from the science communication offices or holding science communication functions at our partner Institutes.
The workshop introduced the ProLOEWE Program, a network that promotes collaboration between LOEWE research projects, and their visibility to the outside world, taking their results beyond disciplinary and institutional boundaries. Using the example of the Hessian Network for Science Communication, we also discussed the basic principles of media training adapted to the needs of scientists.
It was an afternoon filled with team exercises, exchange of experiences and ideas on how to increase our research community’s awareness about the importance of properly communicating our scientific achievements to the general public and in particular to the media.
The “LS4FUTURE Gathering & Network Research Management event” is an event series that aims to promote further the collaborative environment between the Research Management team members from the different partners’ Institutes of the Associated Laboratory.
